Thomas Marek has been
working as a professional tap dancer and choreographer since the early 1990s.
In his work he is blending traditional jazz and rhythm tap with contemporary
musical and theatrical elements. He gained an international reputation as a tap dancer and tap choreographer and his work was performed in New York, Brasil, Israel, France and in many theaters in Europe and of course all over Germany.
In 2007 Thomas Marek founded his new studio "Footprints" in Hamburg, Germany. Footprints serves Thomas Marek as an inter-arts space : a studio for his artistic dance work, for teaching tap dance and as a photostudio.
